They do this Bullshit money laundering by there $1000 payments in many LLC's they have to funnel to their candidates. This gives them total control of the BOCC (except George Kruse) and have them as puppets for them to be instructed by their handlers. Corruption in the wide open. Just look at the BOCC track record. Gut the Wetlands, rubber stamp every mega housing project, the impact fee that screws the manatee taxpayer for the additional 88% of infrastructure costs for roeads we won't ever use...and the list goes on and on. “There can be no faith in government if our highest offices are excused from scrutiny — they should be setting the example of transparency.” — Edward Snowden.
We have bought government right now in Sarasota and Manatee Counties. Residents need to be aware of what's going on and vote for candidates who will truly represent their interests.

There are two important upcoming elections. The August 20th Primary Election and the November 5th General Election. In the primary election each political party votes for their party's representative to be on the ballot in the General Election. While the General Election typically has more voter turn out, in Manatee County this year, as in years past the election will be determined in the Republican Primary.
Our current county commission and nearly ALL of our representation is Republican.
Due to the abundance of Republicans in Manatee County and Florida having a closed Primary Election, Manatee County Democrats' votes will not matter. This is why this Primary Election is important.
